Individual Support Services

Individual Support Services (ISS), through Guest referrals from The Department of Mental Retardation provides services to those living in apartments or with family members who need the involvement of our colleagues in order to maintain community independence. Working closely with each Guest, colleagues identify the type of supports needed (i.e.: skill building, socialization opportunities, available community resources, representative-payee assistance, accompaniment to doctor appointments and grocery shopping, etc.) Personalized services are provided in hourly increments seven days a week and are determined by need.

Community Initiatives

Community Initiatives brings "Superstar" powers and supports to Guests with mental retardation as they are introduced to meaningful community connections. These connections help to empower each Guest to reach levels of accomplishment never before thought possible. Support services are flexible and unique to each Guest and are provided in ways that create and build natural, lasting supports in the community.

The ultimate goal is to make available a variety of interesting options. With an extensive assessment process, Guests, along with their personally assigned "World Class" team members will work identifying their aspirations, assisting in building networks of supports and identifying lifelong goals and strategies to achieve successful integration and maximize eventual success within the community.

Backed by a Team of "World Class" specialists certified in both Occupational and Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy and fulltime nursing attention this is the way to go when the need is for high supports in order to live more fulfilling lives.

Our Therapy and Sensory Rooms are receiving "rave" reviews from professionals in the field and can help generate the most effective modes of treatment for our participating guests! Compliment that with a vast array of nutrition classes, music therapy, pet therapy, Tai Chi classes, exercise classes, recreational activities and community involvement that build meaningful relationships and personal well-being and you have a program tailored to your particular needs.

Vanway

Vanway lets the good times roll! Since 1979 we have been transporting Guests to and from American Training Inc. Our fleet of vans has grown to a total of 34 vehicles and a staff of 32 dedicated pilots and co-pilots. All Vanway colleagues are expected to work closely with various Divisions to insure that our level of service is consistent with company expectations.
