Tom co-founded American Training in 1979 and has made his WOW! Magic the company's unique trademark. Spending time with family, and focusing on spiritual growth are very important to him. During those rare days with downtime, Tom, a former professional ski instructor, loves to garden, sneak in a round of golf, or settle in a local coffee shop to read a good book or tell stories that would make your sides ache. Tom's favorite vacation destinations are the Caribbean as well as north of the border.

During his tenure of over 23 years at American Training, Steve has served in many capacities for numerous divisions, and has made an impact on the lives of Guests and Residents alike. Having previously been responsible for secure treatment programs for chronic juvenile offenders in another organization, Steve came with experience. When not at work, Steve enjoys running, biking, kayaking, and is an avid reader and devout political junkie. He enjoys traveling to tropical destinations and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Steve has a Bachelor's degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from University of Lowell. As his personal motto, Steve has adopted, "The standard you walk by, is the standard you accept."

Sheryl has been with American Training for over 30 years and has loved every second of it! She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Lowell. Her favorite part of her job is that she has the privilege of supervising the BEST Teachers, the BEST Counselors, and the BEST Job Placement Specialists, all of whom truly believe that our students’ lives matter. What makes Sheryl happy? Knowing that thousands of students have obtained jobs because of the education, skills, and industry-recognized certifications they receive at LARE. Sheryl uses a “family approach” management style and is always asking, “What is best for our students.”

In the interest of helping others, Lorraine earned an undergraduate degree from Merrimack College, a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rivier College, and Certification as a Licensed and Clinical Mental Health Counselor. In her twelve years with American Training, her natural gifts and incredible knowledge have benefited countless Guests and Residents. Outside of business, Lorraine enjoys music, running, yoga, travel, the beach and, most of all, her family.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Jodi has the expertise, leadership, and passion to creatively design and implement innovative training programs, while engaging colleagues and having fun along the way. She puts that passion, with a smile, in everything she does and embraces every opportunity to encourage and facilitate the learning and development of others. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Leadership at Northeastern University and has her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification. In her spare time, Jodi enjoys relaxing with her husband and cheering on her children at basketball and football games and cheering competitions. She loves skiing, hiking and looks forward to her annual family camping trip in the White Mountains.

Michael has over 30 years’ experience working with organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults living with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health issues, and autism spectrum disorders. Michael is experienced in the financial and organization management of many programs operated by American Training and enjoys learning about and supporting new program designs. He joined the American Training family in a part time capacity in June 2015. His goal is to help build the financial and structural framework which will support program staff who work every day with American Training’s Guests.

Donny's career at American Training began more than eighteen years ago and he has served in both Vanway and Facilities Maintenance. He daily oversees the maintenance needs of American Training's sites while keeping in mind the welfare of Guests, Students, and Residents. When Donny removes his professional hat at the close of each day, he enjoys adventures that include visiting new places and trying different foods. Most importantly, Donny takes time to remain close to his family and friends.
